Iran in talks with Oman over shipping route but not US, says Tehran

On Monday, Iran's foreign ministry said Tehran is discussing a temporary shipping route through the strait of Hormuz with Oman to resume commercial traffic. The ministry clarified that Iran is not yet reviving negotiations with the United States. The announcement came after Donald Trump claimed he had postponed what he described as the largest military strike against any country since World War Two, following a call from Saudi Arabia's crown prince, conditional on Iran reaching a deal quickly.
