MeshDiff: see exactly what changed between two 3D models
dev_tools
Adafruit highlights MeshDiff, a free browser-based tool that addresses the awkwardness of version control for 3D models. Diffing two binary STL files traditionally yields nothing useful, but MeshDiff shows exactly what changed—added material, removed material, and dimensional drift—using voxel and surface heat-map visualization. It works with STL, 3MF, and OBJ files, and since everything runs locally in your browser, nothing gets uploaded. That's handy for makers iterating on 3D-printed parts: you can catch unintended scaling or confirm a remixed bracket changed where you actually intended.
