The world’s first watch featuring computer functions

In nineteen eighty-four, Seiko released what Adafruit describes as the world's first wrist computer system. The setup paired a watch with a separate controller console that included a built-in printer. Users could input BASIC programming using an optional keyboard and play games. The device also worked as a memo pad, telephone directory, address book, and scheduler. A pocket-sized keyboard sold separately allowed portable operation. The whole ensemble — watch, controller, and keyboard — shared a unified box-shaped design, with light and dark gray coloring accented by orange buttons.
