Alan Jones trial live updates: former radio broadcaster in Sydney court for day two of indecent assault case – latest news
world
A retired Australian radio broadcaster is back in a Sydney courtroom for day two of his indecent assault trial. Alan Jones, eighty-five, formerly of stations 2UE and 2GB, has pleaded not guilty to twenty-two charges. The Guardian reports that on Monday, a former schoolboy athlete testified that Jones allegedly kissed him and touched his genitals when he was a teenager, and that he stayed silent out of fear of losing Jones's financial support. He is the first of six complainants expected to testify in a trial set to run four months and call seventy-six witnesses.
