France wildfires reveal hundreds of WW2 shells in village

Wildfires in the French village of Le Porge have uncovered hundreds of World War Two shells buried in the soil. Explosions heard during the fires are believed to have been the old munitions igniting from the heat, BBC News says. More than eighty years after the war ended, unexploded ordnance remains scattered beneath the French countryside.
