Lebanon and Israel hold new round of direct talks in Rome to discuss Hezbollah disarming

Lebanon and Israel are meeting in Rome this week for the seventh round of direct talks aimed at negotiating Hezbollah's disarmament. Per Euronews, these Washington-mediated negotiations have been ongoing since March, when Hezbollah—backed by Iran—drew Lebanon into the Middle East conflict through rocket attacks on Israel.
