The Memo-1 plugs into a Minitel-1 terminal and delivers the core retro-computing features: RAM, ROM, BASIC support, an expansion port, joystick inputs through a sixty-five twenty-two chip, and a sixty-five fifty-one serial interface specifically chosen for Minitel hardware compatibility. France's Minitel was a nineteen-eighties nationwide terminal network that became a widespread success and remained in use well into the twenty-first century. Per Hackaday, the Memo-1's appeal isn't technological novelty—it's breathing new life into these 'magnificent' terminals, which deserve far greater recognition.
