New York deputy police commissioner fired after attempted murder arrest

Mount Vernon's deputy police commissioner for safety, Jennifer Lackard, was fired on Tuesday after being arrested in connection with an attempted murder investigation. According to The Guardian, she's accused of acting as a getaway driver for her son, who allegedly opened fire outside a Bronx court.
