Reform to unveil controversial plan to fine firms and jail bosses who employ illegal workers – UK politics live
politics
Reform UK has unveiled plans to impose what it says would be the world's harshest penalties on employers hiring illegal migrants: fining companies ten percent of their global revenues and imprisoning company bosses. The party says these penalties would apply even if employers were unaware of a worker's immigration status. Reform also plans to tighten right-to-work checks across the gig economy and delivery sectors, saying that illegal working undermines honest business and fuels organized immigration crime.
