Returning to ARC

Paul Christiano, a prominent AI safety researcher, is returning to lead the Alignment Research Center as executive director, per an announcement on LessWrong. His focus for the next six months will be developing techniques to understand how neural networks behave and using those insights to detect misalignment in AI systems. He'll continue advising AI developers and governments, but is prioritizing ARC's core research for now. The organization is currently hiring researchers, a chief of staff, and an automation lead.
