Ukraine live: Russian strikes kill more than a dozen in Kyiv region, Zelensky says

Russian strikes hit Kyiv and the surrounding region overnight into Wednesday, killing at least seventeen people and wounding forty-four more, France 24 reports, citing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The attacks come amid an escalation in long-range strikes by both sides, with Russia more than doubling its missile use in July.
