Rep. Chuck Edwards drops re-election bid after censure recommendation

Axios is reporting that Rep. Chuck Edwards of North Carolina announced early Wednesday he's dropping his re-election bid following a House Ethics Committee recommendation to censure him over sexual harassment issues. Edwards posted on X that after "much prayer and reflection," he's withdrawing from the campaign but will complete his current term. The decision follows mounting pressure since the committee's Monday vote.
