Stevens, who has represented Michigan's eleventh congressional district since twenty nineteen, carries major endorsements from Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, and retiring Senator Gary Peters, whose seat she is now running for. Outside spending has poured tens of millions into the race, including from groups affiliated with AIPAC, the pro-Israel lobbying organization.
