US refunds $100bn of Donald Trump’s ‘liberation day’ tariffs

The Trump administration has refunded one hundred billion dollars from tariffs it collected before the US Supreme Court ruled the levies illegal. Per The Guardian, this represents sixty percent of the one hundred sixty-five billion dollars total that was collected from the so-called 'liberation day' tariffs. Customs officials reported the figure to the US Court of International Trade on Tuesday.
