Guatemala volcano eruption forces hundreds to flee ash, gas and lava

Guatemala has declared a red alert, the country's most severe danger warning, after the Fuego Volcano erupted roughly thirty-five kilometers from the capital. France 24 reports the alert covers the Sacatepéquez, Chimaltenango, and Escuintla areas, home to around one point six million people, with hundreds fleeing ash, gas, and lava on Wednesday.
