Republican Chuck Edwards drops bid for re-election after report finding sexual harassment of staffers

Republican congressman Chuck Edwards of North Carolina, The Guardian reports, won't seek re-election following a House ethics committee finding that he fostered a hostile work environment and sexually harassed staffers by giving gifts and lavishing attention on two young female staff members. The committee recommended censure, though Edwards says he will serve out his current term through January.
