Variety reports that Disney CEO Josh D'Amaro acknowledged on the latest earnings call that both the live-action 'Moana' remake and 'Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu' underperformed at the box office this summer. However, D'Amaro pushed back against writing them off as total losses, arguing they generated value through merchandise sales and helped drive attendance at Disney's theme parks.
