According to the Guardian, Abdul El-Sayed, a former public health official, has won Michigan's Democratic Senate primary, defeating Congresswoman Haley Stevens by fewer than fifteen thousand votes. He will now face Republican Mike Rogers in the general election for the state's US Senate seat.
