Venezuela earthquakes live: US says sending military ships, planes to provide aid to Venezuela

Powerful earthquakes have struck Venezuela's Caribbean coast. Two consecutive quakes, measuring seven point two and seven point five magnitude, caused widespread damage, collapsing buildings and damaging the country's main airport. According to France 24, at least two hundred thirty-five people have been killed. The United States has announced an immediate humanitarian response, deploying two warships, transport planes, and helicopters to the region. The U-S government is also mobilizing one hundred fifty million dollars in aid to assist with emergency relief efforts.
