A sixty-year-old man has died in Melbourne's western suburb of Sunshine following an alleged assault last week. The Guardian reports that Victoria Police say the man was set upon by a group of youths after he stepped in to help a shop employee during an alleged attempted theft at a nearby store, and that he sustained critical injuries in the attack on the first of August.
