All bodies of water in England polluted with toxic chemicals, official data shows

Every river, lake, and estuary in England is polluted with toxic chemicals, according to government data the Guardian is reporting. In the Environment Agency's latest assessment, only fourteen point three percent of the country's surface waters achieved good ecological status. The evaluation, conducted every six years, checked for a range of pollutants, including PFAs, also known as 'forever chemicals,' and microplastics, against standards for wildlife, water quality, and physical habitat.
