From ranking to recommended: get your site ready to thrive in the age of AI agents

Cloudflare warns that your next customer may not find you through Google. They'll ask an AI agent a question, and that agent will decide whether to recommend your site to them. Fewer than half of all web page requests now come from humans—the rest are AI crawlers and agents. Cloudflare just released two tools to help sites adapt: Agent Readiness checks whether agents can actually read and use your content, and Answer Engine Optimization measures whether AI assistants like Claude and GPT recommend you in response to customer queries. For most sites, it's a fundamental shift in how they compete for discovery.
