In Moscow's Babushkinsky district, a 68-year-old woman set her apartment on fire as bailiffs arrived to evict her, Meduza reports. Msk1 identified her as Natalia Ivanova, who had sold the two-room apartment for nine point five million rubles back in 2022 and handed the proceeds to scammers posing as security service and central bank officials, then never moved out. A court had sided with the apartment's new owner, and eviction was scheduled for August fifth, twenty twenty-six. Ivanova was hospitalized with burns covering seventy percent of her body, according to the Telegram channel Mash, while firefighters evacuated a neighbor from the floor above.
