Ukrainian anti-corruption authorities accuse former ambassador to the U.S. Olha Stefanishyna of illicit enrichment

Meduza reports that Ukraine's anti-corruption authorities have accused Olha Stefanishyna, the country's former U.S. ambassador, of illegally acquiring roughly thirteen point nine million hryvnias in assets and falsifying her declarations. Investigators say her official income couldn't explain millions that moved through her bank accounts, and she owned Kyiv apartments registered to others without disclosing them. She was relieved of her diplomatic post in early August, and a Ukrainian court set bail at six million hryvnias—though Stefanishyna told the court she has no funds to pay it.
