Researchers have discovered LightSpy, spyware linked to a Chinese company, targeting victims across thirteen countries, including the United States. According to TechCrunch, the breakthrough in attribution came when one of the spyware's operators ordered KFC using their real name and office address—the slip that gave security researchers the forensic lead needed to connect the malicious activity back to its operators.
