Ceuta and Western Sahara at heart of US-Morocco rapprochement

The United States is signaling strengthened ties with Morocco, with Washington apparently ready to support Moroccan claims to the Spanish enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla. According to RFI, this represents an evolution of their diplomatic relationship. It builds on a twenty twenty agreement in which the United States backed Morocco's autonomy plan for Western Sahara in exchange for Morocco normalizing relations with Israel.
