A Singapore man has been jailed for defrauding victims during the COVID-19 pandemic. Channel NewsAsia reports that Gerald Chan Tzen-Chou swindled eleven people out of three point seven nine million Singapore dollars by impersonating a supplier of face masks and gloves. He convinced at least one victim that an Indonesian factory he represented had access to global pandemic demand — but the factory, the company, and the investment opportunity were all fabrications.
