Man jailed for pretending to supply gloves and face masks during COVID-19 pandemic, cheating 11 victims of S$3.79m

Per Channel NewsAsia, a Singapore man has been jailed for defrauding eleven people during the COVID-19 pandemic. Gerald Chan Tzen-Chou convinced victims to invest in an Indonesian factory he claimed was producing surgical face masks, though the factory never existed. He pocketed three point seven nine million Singapore dollars through the scheme before it was exposed.
