A Kentucky water tower says "Y'all" because of a legal problem

other

A water tower standing beside Kentucky's Interstate 75 has become a local icon—largely by accident. Built in nineteen seventy-four, the Florence Y'all Water Tower currently displays 'Y'all' to passing drivers. According to Boing Boing, the tower was originally meant to read 'Florence Mall.' Developers had donated the land to Florence on the condition that the mall's name be painted on the tower where travelers could see it. A paperwork problem intervened, and the result is one of Kentucky's most charming unintended landmarks.
