Hear what the Odyssey may have sounded like as a song

Per Boing Boing, two Austrian scholars have recorded what Homer's Odyssey may have sounded like when sung. Georg Danek of the University of Vienna and Stefan Hagel of the Austrian Academy of Sciences worked out a way to sing Homer and recorded lines two hundred sixty-seven through three hundred sixty-six from book eight—the passage where the bard Demodocus sings about the love of Ares and Aphrodite.
