NASA’s IXPE Studies Magnetar
science
NASA reports that its IXPE space telescope conducted extensive observations of a magnetar — a neutron star with magnetic fields a trillion times stronger than Earth's strongest permanent magnets. During observations conducted between March and April twenty twenty-five, the team may have captured evidence of empty space behaving in a way physicists have predicted for ninety years but never directly observed.
