Kiyoshi Kurosawa’s Period Thriller ‘The Samurai and the Prisoner’ Drops First Trailer

According to The Hollywood Reporter, filmmaker Kiyoshi Kurosawa—known for the psychological thrillers Cure and Cloud—is making his first period samurai film. Based on an award-winning Japanese novel and set in sixteenth-century Japan, The Samurai and the Prisoner is a mystery thriller hitting U.S. theaters on July thirty-first through Janus Films.
