US appeals court halts construction of Trump’s $400 million White House ballroom project

A federal appeals court has ordered construction to stop on a four hundred million dollar White House ballroom, according to France 24. The ballroom was planned for the site of the demolished East Wing. The court ruled that a president cannot fundamentally reshape the White House without congressional approval.
