France stopped 10 small boats crossing Channel since spring, officials say

French authorities say they've stopped small boats crossing the Channel at least ten times since spring. The announcement came Friday, in response to Conservative and Reform politicians who claimed French police were refusing to intervene in the crossings. According to Maritime Prefect officials, their officers have been actively boarding vessels at sea and returning asylum seekers to France.
