Ars Technica reports Europe's free Copernicus satellite service just added a new visualization layer for tracking wildfires. Using satellite imagery from the Sentinel-two mission, the tool displays active fires in white or yellow, burning vegetation in red, and burned landscapes in dark brown or black. The feature launched this week and gives anyone free access to ten-meter resolution satellite data for monitoring wildfires around the world.
