Private prisons announce $1.4 billion in revenue as immigration detentions climb

Per NPR, private prison companies Geo Group and CoreCivic announced one point four billion dollars in combined revenue as immigration detentions have climbed. CoreCivic also reported one point six billion dollars in net proceeds from selling four facilities to the Department of Homeland Security.
