Rana Sanaullah says PML-N will form govt in AJK with two-thirds majority
politics
Rana Sanaullah, per Dawn's reporting, told supporters on Saturday that the PML-N will form a two-thirds majority government in Azad Jammu and Kashmir after the region's ongoing elections. The party has already won twenty-four seats in the first two phases and expects four more from Monday's vote in Bagh and Haveli, followed by five additional seats when the rest of Poonch Division votes. Sanaullah also pledged to engage the Joint Awami Action Committee, which has been protesting reserved seats for refugees from Indian-held Kashmir—a demand the party promises to address once in power. He pitched development as his incentive: a twenty-three billion rupees special package the federal government approved, plus plans for new schools and infrastructure modeled on Punjab's public-welfare approach.
