Boing Boing reports on an unusual discovery from Hiroshima Bay: scientists have found a metal never before recorded in a grain of sand. The alloy was created by the atomic blast itself and sealed inside a glassy bead during the airburst of August nineteen forty-five. Researchers including Luca Bindi reported the findings in Science Advances.
