Iran issues tough demands to reopen strait of Hormuz as deal still out of reach
world
Per The Guardian, Iran has issued tough new demands for reopening the Strait of Hormuz, insisting the United States must first correct its behavior. The demand came from Iran's supreme national security council, announced by its secretary Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr, a commander in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The announcement coincided with the United Arab Emirates saying one of its ships had been targeted by an Iranian missile, as a deal to reopen the strategic waterway remained out of reach on Saturday.
