One Million Passports Leaked Online

Bruce Schneier reports that nearly a million passports from around the world were leaked online. The credentials were exposed through an ID verification system used by cannabis dispensaries. Schneier points out the core architectural problem: high-value credentials like passports shouldn't flow through low-security systems, because that makes the entire chain only as secure as its weakest link.
