Wildfire forces more than 20,000 people evacuate homes in western Canada

More than twenty thousand people in British Columbia have been ordered to evacuate as a fast-moving wildfire nearly doubled in size overnight. ABC News reports the province has declared a state of emergency in response. British Columbia, on Canada's Pacific coast, regularly faces severe wildfire seasons during its dry summer months.
