Flour prices rising as govt yet to issue import tender

The federal government is planning to import one million tonnes of grain to stabilize the market, but traders worry the timeline is too tight — the new domestic wheat harvest won't arrive until March through May of twenty twenty-seven. Industry leaders say the government also needs to crack down on hoarding and speculation to ensure consumers actually benefit when those imports finally arrive.
