2 tribal elders shot dead in KP's South Waziristan

Two tribal elders were shot dead Sunday when unidentified gunmen opened fire on their car in the Zarmilan area of Lower South Waziristan, Dawn reports. Police identified the victims as Haji Gul and Malik Badshah, both members of the Suleman Khel tribe, and said the attackers fled after the shooting. According to Dawn, an investigation has been launched, though the region has seen a string of similar targeted killings of tribal elders in recent months.
