Iran will defend Strait of Hormuz ‘at any cost’, senior official says

Middle East Eye reports that Ayatollah Amoli Larijani, head of Iran's Expediency Council, declared Tehran will defend the Strait of Hormuz at any cost. The former chief justice said Iran maintains sovereignty over the strategic waterway despite what he characterized as efforts by enemies to encircle the country.
