Germany’s Patra Spanou Film Boards Rodrigo Plá’s ‘The Newcomers’ After World Premiere at Locarno’s Kids Screenings (EXCLUSIVE)

Variety reports that Patra Spanou Film, a German distributor, has acquired world sales rights to 'The Newcomers,' directed by Mexican filmmaker Rodrigo Plá. It's Plá's first venture into children's content, following earlier films like 'The Other Tom.' The movie had its world premiere at Locarno's Kids Screenings, and Patra Spanou secured the rights just after.
