Per Variety, Excel Entertainment is marking its twenty-fifth anniversary with the launch of Excel Origins—an initiative from co-founders Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar to discover and support the next generation of Indian filmmakers under thirty. Sidhwani and Akhtar were themselves just twenty-six when they founded Excel, giving them firsthand insight into young talent.
