Former Thai MP accused of shooting local official and driver: police

A former Thai member of parliament, Chalong Riewrang, is accused of shooting a local official and a driver in Nonthaburi province, north of Bangkok, The Hindu reports. The alleged attack came just days after a school shooting in the same region had already put Thailand's gun control laws under scrutiny.
