entertainment
Estonian director Tõnis Pill makes his feature film debut with "Fränk," a coming-of-age drama rooted in a tragic real-life incident from his childhood. The film draws from an event in a small Estonian town where a man with an intellectual disability died after falling under a train, amid rumors that a group of bullying boys were responsible. According to Variety, the film has drawn comparisons to "Border" and "Stand by Me"—works that examine how young men confront moral complexity. Pill previously worked as an assistant director on "Tenet" and premiered the film at Raindance Film Festival.
