Moldova recalls ambassador from Russia after drone explodes in Crocmaz, near Ukraine’s border

Moldova's Foreign Ministry recalled its ambassador from Moscow for consultations after a drone crashed and exploded in the village of Crocmaz, near Ukraine's border. Per Meduza, the aircraft struck a tree at approximately eight feet high, scattering fragments across a wide area. Officials have not specified whether the drone was Russian or Ukrainian. The incident is the twenty-eighth time drone or missile fragments have been found in Moldova since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine—a pattern the Foreign Ministry says represents a serious breach of the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
