BABAI – DIY Interactive Desktop Robot Inspired by Dasai Mochi

Adafruit is highlighting BABAI, a playful desktop robot created from scratch by Ukrainian maker Gi_motion. The project is fully custom—three-D design, electronics, firmware, animations, and enclosure all developed by the maker. Named after a figure from Ukrainian folklore that resembles the Boogeyman but reimagined as charming and expressive rather than scary, BABAI's full design and build process are available on Instructables.
